This morning my wife and daughters and I took the bus to the Vancouver Flea Market to have a look around. There were quite a few pipes on the vendors tables. Many were Chinese knockoffs. Some were old chewed cobs. There were a couple that were interesting but the seller wanted too much for what they were. Then as we were leaving I came upon this one on a table in a display case with knives, etc. It was interesting. I asked the seller to open the box so I could see it up close. It was a nice sand blast. The bowl was heavily caked but no cracks or burnout signs. The shank had a crack on it. The stem was obviously the wrong one. I turned it over and it had the stamping Peterson in block letters with the P with the forked bottom and a curly cue circle. It was stamped DUBLIN below that. The shape number is 10. He was asking $30 and I offered him $10. To my surprise he took it. I am working on it now. I have banded it with a silver band and cut and fit a stem for it. I am just finishing up the finish work on the stem.

Anyone familiar with the shape? Date?

Here are the pics as I found it.

Here it is with the new stem and the band. I like it. I think it will be a great smoker.
