Attention NE Georgia Pipe Smokers - NEW club starting up!

Along with Nmbigfoot02 (http://pipesmagazine.com/members/nmbigfoot02/) over on PM.com (http://pipesmagazine.com), Cyndi (http://pipesmagazine.com/members/cyndi/) and I have been working on starting up a pipe club in the Buford/Flowery Branch/Gainesville area. We have secured a location, this location DOES allow indoor smoking, and available adult beverages. Can you believe it?

There is a catch, however. Ideally, I was wanting to set up the club for 1x a month on a Saturday. However, speaking with one of the managers, they have other events that wouldn't allow us to relax and smoke. Their slowest day tends to be Sundays and they have a poker event in the afternoons. Therefore, time-wise, we're thinking of around 5-6pm and now we just need to secure a date.

Any input is welcome and I invite anyone close to let me know if you're interested. If you need a better idea of where we'll be meeting, please also let me know.

I would guess that any day could have its conflicts. Sunday evenings are typically ok with me so I'll try to make it. Obviously 2/5 is no good (Super Bowl Sunday), but most other weekends are good for me.

Yeah, the manager I spoke with said they'll be packed on Super Bowl Sunday, which is fine with me. I'm not a big football fan anyway.

Our first meeting will be Sunday, February 12th @ 5pm.

For those coming, we'll be taking and hopefully voting on a club name. I definitely do not want us to become known as the NE GA Pipe Club. I think we can come up with something better than that, lol.

just noticed that nobody had posted in here since the meeting. Don't know if Cindy or Shaun are around so I'll take up the mantle here.

We had a nice time for the first meeting of what will now be called the Lanier Pipe Smokers Club, as we are all from communities that are around Lake Lanier here in North Ga.

6 of us attended and had a nice time spending a couple of hours smoking and getting to know each other. We're going to be meeting again on March 11th. If anyone is in the area, we'd love to have you join us.
