I had the pleasure of trying Condor Flake because of a trade with Archer. By the way thanks, Eric. So, I had tried some Lakeland back when I was starting out and found it to pretty much sucked. Now that I've retried it and have some experience with a pipe, all I can say is wow! What would be a good Lakeland to try next?

Is the Lakeland stuff floral/soapy like Mix #79? If it is, I ain't interested.

There is nothing like Mix 79, IMO one of the nastiest tobacco's out there!! I think they use Tide as a casing!!

I can't compare to Mix 79 Arkie but scottbtdmb offered up as good a description as I've yet to see of what constitutes a "Lakeland" in this post (http://www.pipesmokerunleashed.com/forum/showthread.php?1501-Lakeland-Lovers-Unite&p=22818&viewfull=1#post22818).

Ennerdale is Condor Lite. You might like it.

That's my estimation, also. Condor is just a little over the top for me right now. Ennerdale is Baby Bear's floral blend, juuuust right.

Well then, if Ennerdale can be considered Condor "Lite" I'll not be trying any condor any time soon.
I do enjoy, just, an occasional bowl of Ennerdale, occasionally (-;
