That reminds me, I think I'll start that thread over here too - I've been smoking that meer a lil' more the past several days :) !

But as for latest pick ups - to keep with my goal of getting a pipe from as many pipe producing countries as possible...gonna be adding this beauty of a Vauen, if it's still there tomorrow (I just cannot pull the trigger on the Randy Wiley or the Kevin Arthur...something about dropping upwards of $300 on one pipe just doesn't appeal to me).

With an ETA of Thursday - I shall let you know what that tenon is...whatever it is, goes really well.

I wanna know what this puppy cost wholesale if they're able to reduce it so much...maybe I'm in the wrong business....there is a pipe shop in my area that's been closed ever since the owners died - maybe I can find a way to purchase it ;)

And to go along with the new pipe - 2 tins of Mac Barens Mixture Modern: Danish Mixture and 3 tins of their Danish Gold (going thru a bit of a "Danish" kick)

Yeah I think that's what happened, a thread got split and a new post started...the infamous over organization.

Wow, that is a nice one.

Definitely becoming a favorite, though it's a filter and it definitely works better taking it out.

I learned from a wise man that things tend to flow smoother w/o the filter

Well it's all individual taste...I actually like to use filters for the Brigham Pipes, especially when smoking an aro.

Yep, some posts are missing Paul.
So.... what is the tenon? Wood, acrylic...?

Paul

The tenon is acrylic, what shows in the picture is a little accent piece that appears to be briar.

Very well then.
Now you can go back to talking to yourself Paul (-;

:) When I pull out the camera today to take pics of my latest PAD/TAD, I'll take a pic of the tenon.

And I'm mad at me, so I'm not talking to myself today.

Vauen and Brigham are 2 makers I've been seriously considering(but Peterson always gets in my way!)...glad to hear it smokes well. I may need to rethink a future PAD purchase...

The only thing I notice with this pipe...the draw, even with out the filter, is a little tight.

I've never tried opening up an draught hole before, but I may need to with this one.
