Those are great, Ron! Quite some unusual examples in there. How do they smoke?

Thank you sir :LiftHat: and...................I haven't a clue, I just collect them. I have somewhere around 400 pipes now in my collection and I only smoke 14-16 of'em.
I couldn't fathom smoking all of them and having to clean them all at the end of the month. Besides I have quite a few Unsmoked estate pipes in my collection that I wish to
remain that way. My daughters gotta have something to inherit, Lord knows my bank account won't pay for the Hefty bag to shove me in.

I understand. My collection is about 10% of that, and there are still pipes that sit idle for too long, despite my best efforts to get around to smoking them.

Very nice Ron interesting bit of engineering, but they look a bit on the heavy side.

There no heavier then any other pipe my friend, in fact most may be even lighter.

And thank you Bo and Ally:LiftHat:

Nice! I love the top one. A very 50s design. It needs fins though. Is the bowl briar? Is it replaceable?

I'm digging that cavalierish Peak, too.

Thank you :LiftHat:Yes sir, the bowl is a briar insert and I'm sure at the time they were available for replacing.
I looked for the copy of the patent for this pipe and can't seem to find it. I try to keep a copy of the patents for all my metal and strange system pipes but, this one got away somehow.
I did find one similar and it was patented in 1945. Most of these are from the mid 30's to late 40's if memory serves me correctly.

I love the cavalier!

Well, I reckon you could consider all but, one a Cavalier because of the drain plugs. So which one are you referring to?

Metal pipes are great
I Used to take my collection to pipeshows
I have to find my binder of patent information
might take me a few days to find it then I will update
my list of those that I have
I think I might even have a box or two of refills for the aristocob type laying around

It was always fun taking and displaying the metals in amongst the fancy briars found at shows
always got a lot of attention
