Warmed up into the low 40’s here so I’m taking a work break and stepping out for a smoke. I think it’s going to be some Semois La Volute in an MM Dagner poker. SmokingPipes refunded me $30 worth of my order and confirmed what I’d assumed was the case. The 4 ounces of Kendal Flake was out of stock as well as the Bosun cut plug. Still never been able to try Bosun in 9 years!
Good afternoon, Good people.

After running errands with D#3 we decided to take a ride around town because the sun came out and stayed for hours. Rather rare this time of year. Back home now I chose a Northern Briar canadian and smoked a bowl of War Horse while some SG FVF is drying.
Was out running errands for the first time in many months, and smoked two bowls of Jim’s A Blend in a three quarter bend smooth 1985 Dunhill Chestnut 5202 with a cumberland saddle stem. Deciding on my next smoke and getting ready to walk.
About a third of the way through this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a smooth straight late 1970s Charatan Special 4148DC Reg. No. 203573 pot with a black double comfort vulcanite stem.
A quarter of the way through this bowl of Ken Byron Ventures Oriental Hot Mug in a 1980s White Pipe straight, smooth octagonal paneled billiard meerschaum with an acrylic yellow cream colored saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

SG FVF in a Northern Briars canadian. Gentleman Jack with beer wash.
A quarter of the way through this bowl of Sutliff Dunhill Elizabethan Match in a 1979 Loewe Army smooth straight dark brown billiard with a silver cap military mount and a tapered black vulcanite stem. This is the first time I've smoked this new-to-me pipe. I always wanted a Loewe's pipe, and now I have one.

Lovely pipe although its age does surprise me I have to say Jim. Has the look of being much older than 1979.
After an excellent fillet steak and salad dinner I'm enjoying a bowl of Virginia/Criollo in the Hardcastle's bullcap. This freshly opened pouch wasn't pressed on purpose to enable me to compare the two versions. Although still good it didn't take me long to realise that pressing it really does make a difference.
