There's a seller in 'Taiwan' selling these on eBay, $40 a tin. Other long gone Germains like 'Bridge Flake' & 'BK Flake' going for $30.
The thing is, he's selling them as 'New'. The older Germains tins were I thought, the narrower ones. These are the newer 'Large' ones. So unless Germains are supplying Taiwan with a re-run, these are dodgy to me. What do you chaps think?

That tin doesn't look quite "healthy" and I can't really put my finger on, why that is exactly. Maybe the imprecise name.
I didn't remember the name quite correctly, though. It was 'Hampton Rich Dark Flake' and the tin looked like this:

(From Jakob Groth's book "God Tobak" - (Good Tobacco) from 1987)

What I do remember is, that it was very strong, probably because the hefty dose of Perique.
I don't remember it as a rubbed-out Flake, but it must have been.

Nothing dodgy but I was surprised to see someone here selling Germain's medium flake on a online shopping site. At 35 for 50gr plus postage I wasn't tempted.

Yes Russ, new & sealed with content. If he had them up as 'new old stock' I'd half believe it.
    St. Bruno simply satisfies!
