    Germany calling!

Finally got around to ordering some blends from the fatherland, courtesy of estervals pipe house.
Apart from St. Bernard, never tried any other blends from HU/Dan tobaccos. Looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about. Great service from estervals! Website in English, great prices & quick delivery. Also, taking into account it's my first order & a smallish one, they included a couple of free samples & a bag of sweets! Something I've yet to receive from English online tobbaconists, & I've spent hundreds if not thousands with them!

    St. Bruno simply satisfies!

Be interesting to see what you think of them specially the Salty Dogs.

Yes it is sunset ally. The others I got are; Flanagan/skipper/dockworker/Edward G/haddes best Irish/salty dogs & St. Bernard.
The Germans seem very keen on va/per blends, as that is what appears most prevalent. I'll probably be ordering more of their huge range in the future, but for now this will do. Probably looking forward to trying the plug most.

Good haul man! I'm really enjoying Hadde's Best Irish. Salty Dogs and Dockworker are also excellent blends!

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts as there are a few in your haul I've not yet tried but have heard great things about.

Is it true that DT produces HU tobacco? I also recently read that Orlik/STG makes Salty Dogs for DT. If true that makes sense as it looks and is packaged like all the other STG-produced plugs, e.g. Warrior, McQuaid, Yachtsman, etc.

That's what I like Batch ordering! No messing about. You will like the St Bernard, Ally sent me a tin of that and it's a smooth light va/per.

    Hello,

St. Bernard is nice indeed. I liked it enough to order a 250g bulk pack, but since then other tobaccos got in the way of opening it.

Salty Dog is also good. I don't get any of the rum that was supposedly added, but for me that's not bad thing. It's fine the way it is.

Skipper's Flake tasted good to me, but the nicotine was too much for me to keep smoking it straight, so it ended up in a mix.

I only ordered once from Esterval quite a while ago, but remember a very friendly conversation on the phone over what was just single tin of tobacco.

    Best wishes
    Markus

As far as a "blend" goes, mixing more than one type of tobacco, VaPers are the king of pipe tobacco. I love burley and many others, but VaPers just hit all the right notes. What a good selection you picked up! I've had many of those, but what is the site you've used? I need a better way to get some HU.
