    Early British Cigarette Packets

This viddy may be boring to most, but I find it interesting because of all the old companies and how beautiful the designs are.

He has a fabulous and well-curated collection,
I enjoyed the talk and walkthrough he gives.

@6:55 you'll see some pipe tobacco packets on the shelf,
not highlighted or pointed out tho - Digger, Three Nuns, Airman, Nut Brown etc.

Many memories there - I used to collect them as a kid.

Not really - it was in the early '50's and I was only 7 or 8 years old so anything and everthing; there were so many brands in those days.

I enjoyed seeing all the familiar names in the pipe tobacco industry.

My grandparents had a newsagents shop in Glasgow for many years. I remember little about it as they had retired from it before I had reached the age of five. In later years I remember my grandmother talking about the Turkish 'pasha' cigarettes so the film brought a memory back for me.
I do remember smoking Park Drive and Gold Flake so it was nice to see them being mentioned. When I was in my early teens and had money from my paper round instead of buying 'singles' I'd buy a 5 pack of Bristol. Thanks for posting.
