    I got a smokeable pipe for 17$ and a lot of sanding and elbow grease as I do not have any machinery.

    Superb job Jesper, well done! Sorry the vinegar trick didn't work for you. I recently got rid of a seriously vile & ground in odour.
    I used distilled white malt vinegar, worked a treat! I quite liked the ghost left over from the vinegar too. Shame it only lasted for a couple of bowls.

    That pipe looks "STUNNING" . If that's your first try at refinishing a beat up pipe you may just have a natural calling in this job.
