When you closed the doors it revealed more about the wood. It appears to be walnut - I think.

It is supposed to be briarwood according to Savinelli's home page.

Thank you, Ally. No apologies needed.
This collecting has really grown on me and there is always another pipe waiting.

Surprised they found briar that straight over the length of the boards.

Briar veneer? Where there's a will, there's a way. He's right though, I've seen cabinets advertised as briar & wondered the same thing.

That's a very slick looking pipe cabinet. Very classy. I'd like to eventually get a couple larger cabinets like that. I have I believe a 12 pipe round holder with jar combo, a 5 pipe rack, an 8 pipe rack, and a 4. Would ultimately like to get a really large 100 pipe holder if I ever find a good one.

This one you got is just beautiful. I can't believe they could come up with large enough pieces to make briar or even briar veneer.

It must have been quite a hefty lump of briar, if Savinelli is right. I checked it thoroughly and neither the side panels or the rest show any sort of assembly.

    Thanks, Matthew.
If I hug DW every time I open it, she'd get suspicious.
