Good Morning, Gentlemen! December has arrived and it's a frosty 28F/-2.2C with partly cloudy skies here right now while the workshop heater is blazing away. Other than going for my pool workout, not much is planned unless the loving wife has other ideas. And, as a loving husband, I usually forget about discussions of near-future chores. Currently smoking a bowl of Straight Grain Flake in the Amorelli Three Star, the usual first mug of coffee on the side.

so a new month starts as the last finished with rain and fog here in Corfu Greece.
My first 1/2 bowl of HU Dockworker flake in a Castello 15 Searock Billiard that arrived today.2 matches to light it and then no relights until the last few puffs.
This pipe is slightly larger diameter bowl and more open draw than I am used to,but this is the first time for a while I have had so few relights, could the more open draw or wider bowl be the reason?

I think the open draw is most likely the culprit. Ive taken to opening up a lot of my pipes airways and they always smoke significantly better!

Good morning. I've owned this Carey pipe for more than 30 years so I thought it was time to take a picture of it. It smokes F&S very well.
