Good Morning, Gentlemen! It's a very cold 10F/-12.2C here and will stay below freezing throughout the day. The kero heater won't go on full blaze, but is helping to keep the workshop habitable. I was having problems with my Zippo pipe lighter not working properly and couldn't figure out why it wasn't lighting unless I turned the spark wheel a dozen times or so. Then I came up with a brilliant idea: do a search on the net for Zippo lighter problems! Being a newbie to Zippo lighters, I found that flint dust will collect on the spark wheel and become hardened making it impossible to light. I looked over some solutions, then decided to chuck a small wire brush into my drill motor. After less than a minute of cleaning off the spark wheel, it is now back to normal and lights first time, every time. Low tech to the rescue! Now finishing up some Straight Grain Flake in the Pete 999, me first mugga coffee tucked under my coat to keep it warm.

After all of the statistics and reports are finished with, I've come to the conclusion that the only real danger of smoking a pipe is being interrupted.

I just saw the name 'foggie moss' & thought ah, peat! Looks wonderful.
I must get down to sainsburys & grab a bottle of old poulteney for Christmas. Can't wait till the new year. Lol.

Btw, did I put that video clip in right? Haven't done one before.

Back in the workshop again for more pipe and coffee time. The morning has warmed up from very cold to just plain old cold and is now at 16F/-8.8C. Later on after breakfast I'll head on out to fill the kero jug, get a bag of rock salt and more cat food for little Miss Food Fussy. Don't like it? Eat the dry crunchy stuff! Currently smoking DF in the Pete 999.
