Good Morning, Gentlemen! It's a couple of degrees below freezing with cloudy skies here and the workshop heater is keeping the place comfortable. The change-over to winter weather has meant that it was time to break out the insulated canvas work coat and me wool Irish walking hat, so now I'm ready. As Oldpipe Tom said about winter, "Bring it on." I never did get to work on my railroad's switcher locomotive last night because the Manchester United vs CSKA Moscow match was on TV. Good one, too. Manchester kept CSKA on the defense pretty much the entire time with Manchester scoring two consecutive goals within a minute of each other. The final score was Manchester United 2-1 CSKA. Today I'll be heading off to the pool at the Y and maybe get some work done to my model loco. Now smoking the usual post-BBF bowl of Straight Grain Flake in the Pete 999, fresh coffee on the side.

After all of the statistics and reports are finished with, I've come to the conclusion that the only real danger of smoking a pipe is being interrupted.

Back for more pipe and coffee time here in the workshop. It's just at the freezing mark and we may get a bit of a snow shower sometime during the day. This has me looking forward to the whirlpool hot tub at the Y where the water temperature is always set at a constant 104F/40C. Currently smoking a bowl of DF in the Anthony Kaywoodie "Relief Grain" blasted apple that I've been carrying around in my coat pocket.
