Well done, Steve! For a first-time billiard that's not bad at all. The background material kind of messes with my eyes a bit, but the bowl shaping looks pretty spot on.

Just excellent. A billiard is no easy thing to carve and you got the hard stuff done nicely. The bowl to shank transition, the symmetry of the whole 360 degree bowl, the proportion of stem to bowl-- all very nice. And a good use of the grain too.

Thanks. You're right, a billiard is fiddly. I'll see if I can get another one right. Got a couple more Pipe Dan types I want do, just screwed up a couple, got to make up for that. Can't take much credit for the grain, gotta thank the tree for that.
