They are very photogenic. My favourites ate the 89 and 186.

Nice to see more of your collection Jesper.
I like the saddle stem billiard(89?) particularly. Interesting nobody knows if hans Christian smoked a pipe. Maybe they were thinking of Danny Kaye. He smoked a pipe.

Thanks, Joe. I shall take yours and Anthony's advice and send the Churchwarden off to see the Wizard.

For 10 years, and the amount of Stanwells you might have missed, you wrote... Too horrid to finish that thought.
When did you live in Odense..?

Thanks, Bill. I have read somewhere that no. 186 was designed by Anne Julie but I have not had it confirmed. It does have a certain similarity to her no. 183 though.
Basil Stevens does not mention it but then his lists are not totally free from errors.
The 89 is a Sixten Ivarsson.

Thanks, Simon. no. 89 is a beautiful little pipe; it fondles well, but I haven't yet decided what tobacco to smoke in it.
HCA might have smoked a pipe; I haven't read about it but the again I haven't read all of his 10-vols. diary yet.
Sometimes he must have had a good stem polishing though, because the next day he told his diary "Sore Penis", so...

I remember the national outcry when Danny Kaye was photographed lying in HCA's bed. Utterly silly. No proof what-so-ever that the bed even belonged to HCA.

Thanks for your reply, Craig. If you'd bought just one Stanwell a month, then...

Lol! Thankyou Jesper, I'll never be able to read HCA or indeed polish my stems with a straight face again.
