I know. I have kept four Stanwell's: two are early Sixten Ivarsson designs including this, the third is a Tom Eltang design and the fourth an Anne Julie design. All four are very nice.
This one has the crown over the S, is a Regd Number pipe and also labelled hand made.
The one Stanwell in my collection I like the most. Another great Sixten Ivarsson design from the '50s, shape 39, loaded with My Own Blend's Kentucky.

Gonna cob this C&D Dreams of Kadath for the first smoke, until I get a better sense of its paranormal characteristics.

After all of the statistics and reports are finished with, I've come to the conclusion that the only real danger of smoking a pipe is being interrupted.
Good Evening, Gentlemen! I went out to the grocery store earlier and it was a battle just getting the ice off of the windshield and freeing up the driver's side window. All is well now that I'm in the igloo for more pipe and coffee time.
Now smoking a good bowl of DF that's performing wonderfully in the Stanwell blasted billiard.
