I have several silver- or nickelbanded pipes and I found out that if I remember to do it on a regular basis, a damp thumb and a little rubbing keep them nice and shiny and I don't have to worry about getting silver polish all over the shank. Or myself, for that matter.
The trouble is remembering to do it.

$9.99, you wrote..? You can't even buy a pouch of tobacco for that sum here in Denmark..!
    Congratulations. What a steal.

That Rattray is a beauty. I have yet to get one of their pipes. I like their tobaccos and I'm sure I'll like their pipes as well. The Danish Pipe Shop has quite a few in stock.

Awesome! Thank you for explaining that! Iím writing the rest of those numbers down to take a closer look for maybe some future purchases!

    You're most welcome.

Maybe you'll find this link useful in addition to the one posted by Anthony, but be slighty wary with Basil Stevens' list.

    https://pipedia.org/wiki/Stanwell

He's not always right. For instance, he says that shape 47 was made by Anne Julie - 1950s. Anne Julie didn't start her pipemaking until she inherited her late husband's, Poul Rasmussen's tools and machinery in 1967. At first she wanted to sell it but a friend of her husband's, Hans Jonny 'Former' Nielsen, persuaded her to try her hand at pipemaking and the rest is history.
Re. shape 169, Basil Stevens has only the one made by S. Bang in 1986, not the later one made by Jess Chonowitsch.
These are the two I could remember off the top of my head.
There is a revised list out there, which Basil Stevens made 5 or 6 years ago.

My posted link contains PDF-files of a lot of Stanwell catalogues. Very useful.

My before-lunch snack. A Lorenzo Filtro without the filter, stuffed with my next-to-last bowl of Yellow Capstan.
Monday I have an appointment with my sadistic dentist and he lives 10 minutes walk from The Danish Pipe Shop, so...
