My brakner arrived safely from the great white north.
Apart from the stem(which is particularly disgusting) the pipe itself & the bowl is in very good shape. Looking forward to cleaning it up. The only downside is the amount of whisky I'm going to have to sacrifice, in sterilising the stem!

    Congratulations. Brakners are beauties.
Use Laphroaig for sterilising and the pipe for Latakia flakes and mixtures.

    Huzzah! Congrats again, Simon!

Get some isopropyl alcohol for the stem. You can't drink it. So, you won't lament its loss.

Cheers jesper! I've never liked laphroaig though, & although I like Latakia mixtures I don't smoke them very often. The thing I like about stacks is how well flakes & in particular plugs smoke in them.

All kinds of alcohol are drinkable. It's just the effect that differs.

Thes are the only two pipes I can use for flakes without getting in trouble.
    Other chimneys ...forget it.

Yes you can drink it. But your liver would give you serious problems. It probably wouldn't taste good. And it may not intoxicate you. So generally a waste of time to even try.

You are right and all thanks to a co-laboration between a Swede, Sixten Ivarsson, and Poul Nielsen of Stanwell.
