New IMP meer on the way

Since 1966 when I first picked up the pipe, and haphazardly since then, I've owned a few meers. Their number pales, however, in comparison to the number of my other pipes, as I've always been a confirmed meer and cob smoker. So, it must have been time for me to pick up a new meer. I've chosen this latticed bent billiard by IMP, a brand that I like and which uses push tenons and not those squeezy drinking straws. (Seller's photo.)

Thanks Anthony. I'm very careful when I do purchase (infrequently) a meer, as I don't want to open a new one and find one of those straw-like tenons which I hate. Btw, in my original post I meant "briar" instead of "meer" of course, when I mistakenly wrote "a confirmed meer and cob smoker", which does not make any sense in context. Apollyloggees, droogs.

That's one fine meer, Ed. Congrats!

After all of the statistics and reports are finished with, I've come to the conclusion that the only real danger of smoking a pipe is being interrupted.

While not normally a big fan of the lattice, this one looks Good! There is an elegance to the work...The different levels of engraving give it a very nice look. This pipe took some time and patience to get right. Congrats!
    Take care and check six!

I don't even know where to buy white gloves. Are they kid gloves that you mean? I use rubber gloves, the ones that doctors and nurses use and which leave bitter memories.
