T 170 bill. The seller had another one, a slightly less bent & better blast. I think it was even older, but I went for mine because it was unsmoked & I preferred the fully bent stem.

Okay very close but it was only 2 digits in the 70's that he preferred I cannot remember for sure. Here's a 76 so very close.

A slightly more intense & flavoursome smoke is what I get.
You did ask. I picked this one up from a Swiss shop that sells pipes on eBay that seem to have been sitting around for ever, or on account. Like yours it looked almost new. But if you look at the rim, there is actually a hairline crack in it, so the pipe is off with Piffyr being glued. He also sneered at the poor condition, and said he would clean it up properly. So we’ll see what it looks like when he is finished. I’ve only smoked it once and liked the fact that it was so light and sensual.

Congrats, Simon! Those are some great looking pipes. I'm not familiar with Winston.

Love the pipes. I'm a fan of Old Danish pipes myself, have about 20-odd of them.

You’re making me want to try a stack pipe. I imagine St. Bruno would taste amazing in one. I would imagine having such a narrow and deep bowl would really concentrate the flavors.

It certainly does. I love 'em. I make mine for myself with a slightly larger dia. Bowl, about 11/16, and a little taller. The Pipe Dan's are closer to 9/16, a rad narrow for me.

Take a look at pipes with conical chambers as well. I find that they concentrate flavors more than cylindrical bowls. The downside is that, in my experience, they also tend to collect more moisture in the bottom, but that may say more about my smoking technique than the attributes of the chamber.

That's interesting. I'm not a particularly dry smoker and I find my conicals smoke drier for me.
