    It really has more to do with the proportions (or ratio) of the length of the stem to the length of the shank. I would call the shape 44 in the Dunhill catalog image above, a Liverpool.

    on that basis then yes mine could be classed as a Liverpool

    Well, I think your pipe is supposed to be a Canadian. I think the stem (which as discussed may be a replacement) was made a tad too long.

    Congrats, Paul. That's a great looking livernadian! I suspicion that the stem isn't original as well. If you can shoot a photo of the slot and tenon after the pipe arrives and post it here, I can probably confirm one way or the other.

    will do Anthony, I am about 90% sure its a replacement,I was before purchasing it.
