    The latest haul

Just back from the post office with these additions to the herd.

Upper left, a pipe named 'Consul' and supposedly made by the Danish Pipe maker Poul Erwin Hug.
It is very large, thus nicknamed 'The Wardrobe'.
No. 2, a Savinelli, er... Pooker, stamped MM 1998.
No. 3, a Wengholt, which is a Preben Holm second, with a chamber I can fit my thumb in.
No. 4, a Peterson Aran 999 - Made in The Republic of Ireland.
    No. 5, a BBB Christmas 1959 - Best Make.

I must confess that the Consul and the Wengholt looked better in the photos I first saw, but now I have them
and by Jove, I'm going to smoke them.

A great and puffing weekend to you all.

Congrats, Jesper! That's another nice score. I especially like that BBB.

That BBB is truly exceptional. Ive never seen that shape in a BBB. I also like the Peterson.

Like them all Jesper, but the Wengholt is my favorite.

    What, no stanwells?
Lovely selection you've got there Jesper! Especially like the older style Peterson. Very 'comfy' pipes the 999s.
    St. Bruno simply satisfies!

A fine haul, Jesper! I find the BBB very interesting as well.

After all of the statistics and reports are finished with, I've come to the conclusion that the only real danger of smoking a pipe is being interrupted.

Thank you very much, you all. I'm really pleased that you like them.

I must say that the BBB is my favourite among those five. It's so incredibly delicate and slender; when, yes, I admit, I fondle it, it feels almost feminine. It's a piece of briar and a piece of ebonite for God's sake.

No, Simon, unfortunately it's been some time since my last Stanwell, lately I haven't found any that I just had to have, but as a certain Arnold almost said "They'll be back".
I look forward to smoking the 999 tomorrow; a pipe I've been wanting for some time and suddenly there it was.

I have a Savinelli Saturnia 310 KS and a Peterson Shannon 999 (FT) that look like those of yours. They are very good pipes.
