    Yes, it is. I was skeptical of the r/c claims before this pipe, but I can tell you that the system does indeed work as advertised.

    Thanks for the reply, Anthony. Your pipe is very special, but I'm not quite sure that I could get used to the overly fat shanks, but then again, you'll never know.

    When pipe makers try to force an r/c system into a classic shape, it usually ends up being an aesthetic disaster. The better approach, I think, is to design the system first, and then shape the pipe around it. Plenty of well done examples of that approach exist. It still might not be your thing and that's okay. Not everything is made for everybody, but I would encourage you to try one out for yourself before you completely dismiss them.

    I very rarely dismiss things out of hand, which I have not tried and one day I might find a reverse calabash I just have to own.
