    I love our mailwoman

...and this is what she brought me.
Three second-hand BBJ pipes, beautifully refurbished by my pipe friend Carsten Andersen, who very generously added a large helping of Brown Capstan, which I've never tasted before.
Carsten Andersen didn't want to sell them at the pipe show when BÝrge Blume-Jensen was standing at a table next to him, selling his new pipes. A nice gesture.

Nice grain is the first thing, second great finish. In the top pipe I like how the grain is sequenced with the band.

    Thank you very much, all.

He's indeed a 'Great Dane' and he once gave me an exquisite customer service; I had bought a pipe from his fb page; it turned out that he shipped me a wrong one and when I pointed it out, he sent me the right one free-of-charge. That's service for you.

BÝrge Blume-Jensen makes beautiful pipes and yes, it's a very nice detail with the grained band. I now own 7 of his pipes and why stop there..?

I'll save the Brown 'lung bleeder' Capstan for tomorrow evening and I'm really looking forward to tasting it.

Great score, Jesper! Your Mr. Andersen is quite a gentleman, I'd say. Three beautiful pipes plus the rare Brown Capstan? Customer service at it's best.

In US dollars, I find his pipes to be reasonably priced and, of course, found a couple of the A grade pipes that I would buy. Drooling!

Ha ha, quite right Crawford! When you take her photo Jesper, tell her to leave her hat on.
