I have a Bewlay rustic Dublin purchased new around 30 years ago. Smokes hot as hell so here's hoping yours turns out better.
    Cheers Crawford & everyone!
It's the first bewlay I've had & it smokes very cool. I think yours must be dodgy briar by the sound of it. Even the cheap 'basket' pipes shouldn't smoke that hot mate. A good excuse to throw it away Crawford & treat yourself to a new pipe.

Might as well as I rarely use it. Think I'll get another Falcon 'Scottish'.....the pipe for the tight fisted.

If you're moving to Galicia, I'd advise strongly against it, Crawford! Seriously, they won't let you smoke a falcon outdoors.(frightens the little children). You want a nice Parker billiard mate, dashing but not ostentatious. Cheaper than a falcon too! (25 in the e'burgh pipe shop)
