    Good post!

    Thanks for sharing.

I've always dug Chris Morgan and think he's a true dude --- I've always wanted one of his pipes but haven't gotten one yet, one of the beautiful things is that he makes the whole gamut from everyman to highgrade, and I really appreciate that --- I should have got one of his allbriars when I had the chance because they are supercool and he was sellin' em for cheap too.

    btw
    Major congrats on the website!
It looks great and I was stoked to see the James Fox Special in your portfolio --- I cannot thank you enough for the very fine and detailed work you did on that pipe,
you got mad skills and the magic touch too!

    Cheers!

Chris doesn't appear to be doing much in the way of high grades anymore. Mostly, it seems that he's concentrating on his on brand of Italian factory-made pipes now. For example, his all briar pipes recently made a reappearance (called "One"), but they come from the same Italian factory that produces the Blackjack and Bones pipes. Not that there's anything necessarily wrong with that, but he has the talent to do good work. So, I hope that it's just a hiatus.

Thanks for the kind words on the site and the JJ Fox. One was a pleasure to work on, the other was a bitch. I'll let you guess which was which.

Thanks for posting this, Anthony. It's something to think about for sure. I enjoyed pipes when I started smoking aros (I didn't know there was anything else), but my enjoyment has grown over the years. I've gottten to try blends I wanted to try 20 years ago - some were as good or better as I imagined, others... - and my collection of pipes has grown a bit, too. I used to have to be in the mood to smoke a pipe, now it's just a question of what I'm in the mood to smoke. But I do feel like a king whether I'm sitting in my little garage retreat puffing on some of the finest Balkan mixtures from a favorite briar or having a bowl of Symphony in a Falcon on the drive to work.

Chris is right. Don't stop exploring or chasing your own holy grails - even King Arthur needed a quest - but always enjoy the pipe that's in your mouth right now.

I knew I should have brought a pipe with me this morning... Then I could enjoy some P.A. while being king of my truck! Great post.
    How'd I get in here?
