    1910 BBB w/Amber Glokar Stem

Lucked up and found this on ebay. Only the 3rd amber Glokar stem I've ever seen. (Glokar = BBB's answer to the P-lip.)

I don't think it's unsmoked. But it appears to have been smoked only once, and whoever did so didn't come close to finishing that first bowl. There's a bit of a smoke line inside the upper part of the chamber, but the bottom half looks completely clean. Moreover, the bone screw is almost perfectly white. There's a small chip missing from the stem at the button, but otherwise it's in near-mint condition.

What a fabulous find. Congrats! I noticed the band stamp "Glokar Trademark" and the great condition of the pipe. Another historical BBB!

Youíre going to have to be super careful with the stem. 110 year old amber is very brittle and simply putting a pipe cleaner through the hole at the front mat shatter it. Previously people used feathers instead of pipe cleaners.

    Enjoy it.
