    All My Meers Are Cracked/Broken

Three skull meers and one dragon. I won't be buying anymore of these cheep meers. My next meer will be a show pipe, never for smoking. I guess I was a little ruff on em. But now I know. You guys ruff on your?

The one with the short stem I still use as a taster, but carefully.

No. My meers are mollycoddled. Pretty much all of my pipes are, in fact, but the meers even more so.

Something to keep in mind when purchasing a meerschaum pipe is that, like briars, all meerschaums are not created equal. Choose wisely.

Never smoked one never mind owned one. Which by the sound of it is just as well as I'm not very gentle when it comes to pipes. Do they break easily if dropped on a hard surface like a tiled floor?

I had one gifted to me once and it was ugly, so I sent it off to SP to sell. Even though it was well packaged, it arrived cracked in multiple places. It was in winter and I suspect the freezing cold temperature made it brittle. Yeah, I'm sure they'll break or crack if dropped.

I wouldn't mind having another one, but it would need to have a beefy button to keep it from falling out of my mouth.

"Easily" is an understatement, Crawford. The stresses from the descent inertia alone are enough to crack the bowl.
