2013 vintage GH&Co Brown Flake (unscented) in a G-grade Upshall dedicated to the best brown flakes.

Of interest, I have always thought this blend to be an excellent example of the genre, but with five years' age on it the result is sublime! To my taste this beats BBF, Wessex BVF, and even eclipses Germain Brown Flake (and that is saying something!)

Morning Greetings Again, Gentlemen! First, I'd like to welcome our good friend Chris back to to PSU. We missed you, you old bugger! It's already hot here, but the workshop is still cool for now. The sky is a bright blue, a few puffy white clouds are passing by and the sunshine is just brilliant. Currently sipping a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the BBB Canadian, a second mugga joe on the side.

After all of the statistics and reports are finished with, I've come to the conclusion that the only real danger of smoking a pipe is being interrupted.

Good very hot morning. Watered the dog, then watered the landlords flowers who are on vacation, probably spending my rent money. F&S in a cob and now having a black cup of coffee.

Last night it was GH&Co Sliced Brown Twist in the Wakeman #2.

Followed this morning by MVP in a Peterson.

That beautiful Wakeman seems to have some sort of nasty excrescence growing on its bottom, Billy! I don't know if you have noticed it?

Good day to you all! Iím having a late-morning smoke with Hearth & Home Signature Virginia Spice in a Solvang clay.

What a wonderful and somewhat underappreciated blend this is. I find that the taste of the cigar leaf is more pronounced when smoking this blend in a clay or meerschaum pipe, but not enough to be intrusive. Sometimes, I prefer the harmony of flavors that briar brings, but at other times I enjoy the distinctiveness of each leaf. Happily, I can have my pick as it suits my mood.
