Each Friday, before I go to the supermarket, I take the dog for her 'long walk' in the local park. It's a great park, almost at the base of the Pentland hills (seen in the distance in the pic below). It's called Braidburn Valley Park, and there is indeed a burn that runs through the Hermitage of Braid.

It is a large park. At this time of year, I like to get there before 5 am and be back home by 6 am. We rarely see any other humans. The dog will sleep most of the afternoon.

This leaves me about half an hour for a mug of coffee and to finish last night's DF/Stanwell combo............Hic!

    Good morning to you all.
First smoke of this sunny and already humid Friday; McConnell's 'Pure Orient' in a reg.no. Stanwell no. 96; 'The Potato Sack', designed by Sixten Ivarsson. I have a completely unfounded theory that he was left-handed, as the bowl is slightly asymmetrical and feels much more comfortable in the left than in the right hand.
A large mug of ginger 'tea' within reach.

Jesper, that's probably the nicest shape 96 I've ever seen! You need to post a top down view so people get the "potato sack" name.

A handful of Robert Lewis Orcilla Mixture in a Regd. (sorry, can't read the shape no.) Stanwell "Royal Briar" - he can handle it, he's a big boy:

Pole inspector's been - very disappointing to be expecting an exotic dancer and get a middle aged Chartered Surveyor talking about electricity supply.

Dunhill Dark Flake in an Invicta made by Colin Fromm but bought from Colin Leeson many years ago at the Great Yorkshire Show

Thanks, Dave. I think that it's among Sixten Ivarsson's most beautiful Stanwell designs.
Here are three sack shots illustrating the moniker.

Please excuse the blurriness of the sack.

Black pudding sandwich for lunch followed by DNR in a L'Anatra, can't get a pic up again.

    Edit Ah it worked.
