    This is a bit I didn't know:

    In the past this process required the destruction of the plant, but in recent years it has become possible to harvest the heath without destroying the shrub.

    The part that impressed me was that briar can withstand 700˚ I guess after that it starts to burn. It got me thinking about how hot an MM cob can get? Tried to google it but to no avail.
