    New from Greece

Arrived today from a Greek Manufacturer Wolfway .3 blends Myth,Pyramid and EE2.
They make rolling and pipe blends hand manufacured. There are 8 pipe blends and 4 straight pipe tobaccos available.
I have never tried any of them so thought I would give it a try.The only downside is the size 150 grams but they come in nice resealable cans.
The 3 I chose are English style similar to Squadron Leader and EMP and a Virginia/Burly mix

sorry about the poor photo ,I looked ok on my mobile but I had to resize it as it was too large.I cant seem to get good photos on my phone and the wife has stolen the ipad

I think the manufacterers have only been in business a couple of years,at first they only listed 4 pipe tobaccos.Virginia, green River and ismir tutan & Basma xanthi but just recently the 8 blends appeared.
With the difficulties with getting much selection of pipe tobacco ( only a few blends available mostly aromatic) here I thought I would try them out.

Awesome, Paul! No matter what the quality of the contents are, I like the containers. I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of them.

I think it's interesting that the tobacco is produced in Greece. Do you know of other producers? This is something that I've never thought about.

Anthony I think the only other producer is Karellia who make cigarettes.
Wolfway use Greek Basma tobacco from Xanthi and Ismir from Katerini,
I guess you would class both as Orientals, they also use Virginia Gold from Maryland and Burley Green River and Hampton from Kentucky,Samsung from Turkey and interestingly they state the Latakia is from Egypt.I wasnt aware Egypt produced Latakia

Here is the translated description of the 3 I bought

    EE2
It was created in honor of a friend. Real value for anyone who knows him. For us the representative of another completely different world of tobacco smoke. We bow to the Euthymius Euthymius.

    9 Izmir form Katerini Greece
    5 Basma from Xanthi Greece
    1 Latakia from Egypt

    BODY: 2 / ROOM NOTE: 3

    PYRAMID
It was created in honor of the Mystery of the Egyptian Pyramids. Just the same mystery of smoky pleasure accompanies this smoke!

    5.4 Latakia from Egypt
4.8 Virginia gold leave from Maryland USA
    4.8 Izmir form Katerini Greece

    BODY: 3 / ROOM NOTE: 5

    MYTH
It was created in honor of the myth that is born with Medusa. Tobacco from a Greek company in a traditional way and from Greek hands.

5.1 Virginia gold leave from Maryland USA
5.1 Burley Green River from Kentucky USA
    4.6 Samsun form Turkey
0.2 Virginia Lizard Tail Orinoco from New Mexico USA
    0.15 Latakia from Egypt

    BODY: 2.5 / ROOM NOTE: 2

Always interesting in hearing about blends produced in countries not well known for pipe tobacco. A tad too much latakia for my taste by the look of it.

Certainly Pyramid appears to have about 33% Latakia.I will see how I find it when I open it.Probably not for a while as I have several tins open at the moment

Tongue in cheek ....stone cold tobaccos, whatever you do don't look at the tin. I must say some varietal blends that are not dommon.
