    And when did they change from silver to nickel mount. Mine have a nickel also and I think of it as a standard grade.
    I must have bought it because it is an Made in England pipe.
    If you have plenty of time try Petersonpipenotes, I am almost sure that Mark Irwin have something about it.

    I guess the change on mount was at the same time as the change in stem design
