The best tip I can give is to ensure delivery on a day when you can be certain that Her Indoors (or Him Indoors, depending on one's proclivities) is certain to be out of the house.

Dean's and my 'special' day always used to be a Wednesday, but now that the missus has retired this is feck all use!

So ingrained is a Wednesday, that when we were talking about the Warsson pipe last week, Dean said "Do you want it delivered next Wednesday?" LOL

Far be it from me to start taking work out of other peoples hands Ant, I'm too delicate these day's to get my hands dirty old boy, that's why I let you guy's do all the work and cross your palms with silver, it's a chore even giving my pipes the Iso treatment now and again, keep up the good work chaps!

I never had a problem with the madam. I smoke everywhere were we live at any time, use her furniture for storing pipes and have bought the pipes I wanted. Never a word apart from that time I said that she should not waist money on cooked onion.

Or just smoke straight billiards. The poor dears can't tell one from another.

Also, I keep my pipes in an enclosed cabinet with locked doors. I alone have the key. The contents within and their number are a mystery to all but myself.

Spending money on "cooked onion" - an outrage! - I would give my missus a right tongue lashing for less!

Actually Jorgen, I think you have one in a million, which is why you have been together for so long.

In my case, I have always been a sucker for a pretty, Celtic face (raven hair and green eyes) - and she has both of those!

I understand completely, Ally. I'm elbow deep in old soot and tar all the time, but taking the time to run a cleaner through my own pipe that I've just finished smoking sometimes seems like a bridge too far.

We have a drawer in the fridge dedicated to the cheeses of the world. It is always full to the brim.

"Why do we have all of this cheese?! We can never eat it all!"

"How many pipes and tobaccos do you have?"

At least you can eat cheese - you can't eat curtains and other soft feckin furnishings!!

As a single man, I shouldn't say anything here. However I must say, the moment you try to understand the woman's way of thinking, you're doomed. My ex Mrs hated my pipes, she lives in Spain now, unhappily so. Quite right too!
    St. Bruno simply satisfies!
