    1980 Peterson's Sterling Spigot 314

Just finished my first smoke EVER in this pipe. I've had it since 2009 ~ 10. I just today figured out how to fix the shank cap, which was not flush fit to the briar at the shank's end, it had moved over time (the stem would not stay securely mounted), I'm over the moon! A work in progress, the stummel still needs a good polish.

    It's an excellent smoker!

1980 not 1956...took a better look at the hallmark with a loupe, still loving it.

I like that one a lot. Good work on the cleanup. Nice, sharp edges on the saddle. I'm proud of you, Dave.

Nuff said indeed a true Peterson beauty. I was thinking when our grandkids inherit the mas of pipe we all have aquired they will not have to do the steps to go from a good smoker to a great smoker. I think I'm going for either re-incarnation or a Tesla Time machine.

Congrats on getting that Pete up and smoking again, Dave. I really like the silver work and how it leads in to the lines of the stem.
