    A Peterson question

I recently aquired a Peterson 302 spigot pipe from 2017 and the end of the stem spigot has a sort of ball stinger in it (it is a push fit and removable).I have never seen this before and wonder if it is an after marker item.Have any of our members ever seen one before.I will upload a picture when my camera has charged up,battery is flat at the moment

I owned a 302 and it had a spigot which I removed. Here's a reference to one @ Cup O's which mentions it.

Bill cant see any mention on that link, however if you had one then that confirms its originality.I measured the hole in the stem and it took a 9mm filter so I did wonder if it was a converter of some sort
    thank you

I messaged the seller and he replied quickly. He had added the stinger bought from my smoking shop in the UK.I will try the pipe both with and without it.I dont usually bother with adapters on my 9mm pipes.

Are we referring to the silver stem and shank as a "spigot", as in the type of pipe, or the stem insert itself as a spigot?

Bill I thimk the spigot mentioned on the cup o joes site is the silver sleeve on the end of the stem.At least that has always been my understanding of spigot pipes.
