    Great selection on show. I had no idea what morta was until I Googled it. Not really my cup of tea but I wouldn't mind a Falcon bowl made from it as the color would go well with my black stem.

    You should think about it, Crawford. Being semi-petrified, a morta pipe smokes a bit like a clay - adding nothing and taking nothing away from the taste of the tobacco. Similarly, it does not ghost in the same way that briar can. It won't scorch or burn out and maintenance is easy.

    I don't think you'd get the full effect, with a falcon. The smoke hitting the metal base & stem, you'd lose something. If I was you I'd just paint the bowls black.

    Fair point, Simon. But they don't cost much, so might still be worth a try?
