Just had two bowls of cereal and cold milk; missus is making her famous lentil soup; no plonk last night and none tonight - so getting back into fettle!

Now smoking DDNR (vintage 2013) in a 1961 Sixten Ivarsson "Product", familiarising it with its own future diet of fine Va/Pers.

I am determined not to treat this as a "Sunday Pipe"; there is no reason to do so, since it is robustly constructed and its blast cannot be damaged by an errant lighting attempt.

12 years old Escudo in a Parker, going to jar the rest of this tin up now, I'm sure Chris or Jim would like a taste of this at a meeting sometime hopefully in the near future..

    Good morning, Good people.

Old Joe is beside himself, which is not easy with a person that wide.
He turned on the foot warmer under the smoking room desk and the
    thermostat went kapoot.

    Hell and Damn!

It only lasted three winters, meaning it cost him $6.65/year to own the piece
    of crapola. Hehe.

Trouble is I have 12EEEE wide feet. More duck-like some would say and good slippers that fit cost 3 to 4 time more than a small cheap heater that only needs to heat a small area 3 F. Years ago Susi gave me a pair that look very much like your picture, which she had the neighborhood cobbler widen enough to allow my foot to enter.

Not yet much to update on the Grandson's M-i-L dog attack; they moved her to Sheffield and did a skin graft last evening.

Apparently she was walking her dog when a white Staffie appeared, attacked her dog and she got in between them and fell, getting bitten in the process; the Staffie was unaccompanied and then woofed off.
    Hello,

What a shock to start the year with, Jim. I wish her the very best.

Two out of seven teachers of the English team have extended their holidays, and one reported sick today, but we managed to split the extra work quite evenly between us. So my busy day will be Friday, but still quite bearable. Tomorrow it will be early enough to arrive at work at 9.00 a.m. Will do the shopping before work to see me through the weekend. On Friday I'm going to Cologne.

A bit colder and more wind outside today, but clearer, skies and sunshine vor the Second half of the day.

I've just finished smoking a bowl of the Curly Block/pound mix in a Limited Edition Peterson, and it tasted fine. Had the same mix in the wind outside during my lunch break, and it didn't taste right at all. Tomorrow I might take some PH Old Kentucky Flake instead, possible brightened up a bit with some Old Gowrie.

    Best wishes
    Markus
