Solani Silver flake in my small goblet. Not bad, but it won't replace HH ODF.

A lovely sunny day has meant I've been knocking my pan in cutting grass out at the countryside place. While picking up the MIL I couldn't resist taking a picture of my Alco with one of her beautiful plane trees.

Good Early Evening, Gentlemen! Between the sun being out and absentmindedly leaving the heater on for a few hours, it's still comfortable here in the workshop. I spent time at my model railroad bench and almost have everything installed in one of my diesel locomotive's chassis. Currently smoking a bowl of HH Pure VA Flake in the Upshall Dublin, one final mugga java is under my jacket.

Kendal Plug and buttermilk! Good stuff! Not many people have a palate for it straight up but I love it. Never paired it with a tobacco though.

Now smoking some 2012 Stonehaven in my 2016 Gamboni.

Not far from finishing this bowl of Jim's Va/Bur in a 2015 Basil Meadows Bing Crosby Merchant Service replica with a smooth straight thin shank, aluminum band and black ebonite stem. Ice water and bergs is my evening drink.

Beautiful pipe Hawk! My dad and I love buttermilk and he introduced me early to it's goodness. For a summer treat put it in a blender with chocolate syrup and fresh red raspberries, Yum.

    Hello,

Today's pipe meet-up in Essen shrank from three to two people when we couldn't hold it at the planned place, a still rather new smoking lounge, which is closed this week. So the two of us still willing to go, went to another, smaller lounge and spent a good two hours chatting. I also brought home a tin each of SG Full Virginia Flake and St. James Flake. I haven't had SJF in a while, so this might be the next VA that I'm going to open.

It's been a rainy day most of the time ranging from drizzle to thicker drops coming down, and for the next week or so it looks like I will just have to copy and paste this local weather report.

Not much will be going on this weekend except minor house keeping and sessions in the shed. The roof there thankfully is water tight and temperatures, while not mild, won't be freezing either.

My last smoke of the day was from the daily jar in a Peterson 80s spigot. The daily jar today got some more G&H Brown Flake Unscented and enough of Peter Heinrichs Chateau Henri No 51 to make the Latakia come through a bit more than previously.

Some more TV, and then to bed.

    Best wishes
    Markus
