    A pipe for Mr. Goldfinger.

Check this one out! Whilst looking on TDPS site, came across a Tom Eltang Liverpool. Finished with gold leaf & costs about six hundred quid! Although it hasn't been lacquered over, so will lose it's shine in time.

Would love to see what it looks like without the 'gift wrapping'.

That's right, but if it's not lacquered a lot of the gold leaf will come off through the handling of the pipe. Giving it a dirty, matte sort of finish.

    Thankyou Dave, you're too kind!
I started gilding from about the age of eleven, shown the ropes by my father. Working with aluminium, silver & gold leaf of varying carats. So in this rare instance, I know what I'm talking about. Even with all the modern methods, nothing beats the effect of gold leaf, in my opinion. Although I wouldn't want to see it on any of my pipes. Having said that, I've still got lots of gold leaf in my shed. If pluggers wants his petersons 'pimped up' or if Crawford wants his falcon to look beautiful. I'm the man that can.

Simon, I stand corrected, and leave you the field sir.
