    Scott Klein “Burner” Billiard

So, I kind of lost my mind yesterday...and bought a pipe. From Steve Fallon's (Pipestud) website, new and unsmoked from American pipe maker Scott Klein.

From the well known and highly respected pipe maker, Scott Klein, comes this nicely grained classic Billiard shaped pipe. Klein’s heralded “Burner” series of pipes employ the same well cured wood that he uses for his high end pipes, and the preformed stems are hand finished to ensure the same comfort designed buttons for proper smoke dispersal.
$60 plus shipping. I must say it looks pretty nice!

I'd happily pay $60 for that pipe.

That's one sharp looking billiard, Dave, and at a bargain price to boot. Congrats!

I call that "busy grain." An oldtimer wood worker told me that very hot weather causes that grain pattern. I don't know if that is true? Good catch!
