    Sasieni Berkeley Club

It's getting harder to find these Sasieni "seconds" at bargain prices, but I was able to pick this one up for $18. Shape 11, the Cromer (grp 3~4 or so in size). It has the rusticated finish used on the Old England line. No significant issues, it's going to be my weekend project. Seller's photos.

Congrats on getting that Berkeley Club, Dave. I don't recall ever seeing one before.

    It's likely a pre-war ~ early post-war pipe. The line disappeared by the 1950's - 60's.

Nice pipe Dave at a great price. For months I've been tempted to purchase a Sasieni Old England pot in great condition which has been advertised on a site here. It was on sale at the same price as the Barbic but when they recently upped the price of it by 75% I thought to myself they can sod off!! So I bought the Barbic instead and am glad I did.

    Here's a picture of it.

Very nice, Dave! Love the names given to these pipes. Berkeley Club, Royal Stuart, Black Prince etc.
Over time I've noticed quite a few sasieni pipes, make their way to Dave. They your favourite English brand?

Lol! Nothing wrong with that, old fruit. Quantity not Quality, as they say. Or something like that. 'Cromer' a delightfully old fashioned & backward seaside resort on the Norfolk coast. Had the pleasure of a few pints in the towns 'extravagantly' named 'Hotel du Paris' once.
Stephen Fry, the comedian & pipesmoking homosexual worked there as a waiter, years ago. Not a lot of people know that.
