    The "Reward" Pipe

While I was working on the build for the new workshop and equipment upgrades, I didn’t allow myself to purchase any pipes. In fact, I tried very hard to not even look in the usual places for them. I did, however, promise myself that whenever I completed significant phases of the work that I could reward myself with a new pipe. With the first (and largest) phase completed just over a month ago, here’s my reward; a Scott’s Pipes (Scott Klein) Handcrafted fig.

Tom Eltang’s design for Stanwell’s 191 is possible my favorite pipe shape of all time and this pipe reminds me of the best parts of that design. The wait was well worth it.

Well done, indeed. The texture of the finish is rather unique. Congrats, Anthony!

An excellent reward! Smoking my Klein "Burner" right now, going by how well it smokes, I think you have yourself a winner.

Thank you, Thomas. You've just convinced me that I need to use "gad-zooks" much more often in casual conversation.

Thanks, Russ. I use the term "lace blast" when referring to this type of sandblast texture because it creates tiny, intricate patterns that remind me of fine lace. If there's a proper name for it, I don't know it.

Thank you, Jorgen. I was actually considering two or three others, but I stumbled across this one when I was researching something completely unrelated. I was smitten and had to give it a home.

Thanks, Crawford. To be honest, I haven't followed Scott Klein's work closely. This one just spoke to me.
