Enjoyed some sweet and cooling cantaloupe as I battle the humidity. Now smoking Sutliff Prince Albert Match in a 1980s straight smooth Big Ben pot with a nickel band and a black vulcanite saddle stem. Listening to the Angels-Astros game.

    Hello,

I wasn't on here much yesterday. It was my birthday, so after work I had tea and my favourite, nutcake, with the family minus my niece, who is in the Netherlands looking after children at a summer camp organised by our local protestant church. Then I had nap and headed out to the shed. I don't like big parties on my birthday. Like today, it was mostly overcast and no warmer than 20C/68F.

Now I've just finished breakfast, and I'm smoking from the daily jar in an army mounted Savinelli Punto Oro apple. I'm picking pipes at the moment that need some outside cleaning, especially the rims, so within a number of weeks I hope to get through all the pipes in need of some care. In a bit I'll wash the dishes, then get ready to leave for work.

    Best wishes
    Markus
