    Comoy's London Pride

Always on the lookout for a Comoy. The older ones are hard to find here in England, believe it or not. Loads of them in the states for some reason. This one came from Belgium. A pre cadogan unsmoked Dublin, shape 250.
I'd of preferred a billiard or a Canadian, but I thought this Dublin too pretty to pass by.

Not hard to believe, a lot of pipes were coming to the States. Simon, is that pipe unsmoked, it sure looks brand new!

Yes Dave, unsmoked. Got it a couple of months ago & still haven't got round to smoking it yet. Was a bit confused when I first got my hands on it. The nomenclature was old but it looked like a later single C. Took a magnifying glass to notice the 3 part drilling.

Yes Simon. Fine pipe. I think most of the better production went for export. A London Pride was 143 here in 1965, a Guildhall 51 so rather an costly.
From Belgium, was it from Georges ?

    Simenon? Non Monsieur!
I can't remember who he was, to be honest jorgen. Don't think he knew much about pipes though, not for the price I paid anyway.
I think you're right about the 'higher grade' comoy lines. On eBay UK there's plenty of Everyman & Guildhall pipes knocking around. Seldom seen are the higher grades.

Stunning pipe worthy of a discriminating Hereford gentleman.

Will do, Crawford. Want to break it in with yachtsmans plug, just got to dig one out & cut it up.

What a find, Simon. Congrats on a real beauty and unsmoked at that!

You're too kind, sir! I'll take the 'discriminating' as a compliment, from such a discerning gent as yourself. Lol
