    Hello,

It's sunny and feels hotter than the thermometer says, 27C/81F, due to high humidity. I went to the cemetery this morning and then took my bike on a short, 5 mile ride along the edges of our village. Then I thought about how to proceed with the three experimental Mac Baren batches that I made yesterday, and the solution was easy. Pure Virginia and Latakia Flake were the same amount in each, and the amount of Acadian Perique in the preferred batch was right in the middle between the other two, so I just had to throw the three of them together and stir well.

After lunch I washed the dishes and cleaned a handful of pipes. Now I'm in the shed with the Mac Baren mix in the H. Simmons billiard from Tynemouth. Smokes nicely, so I'll do the ash shaking one more time and then it should be fine.

Today is the last day of my summer break. But it shouldn't be too busy at work tomorrow.

    Best wishes
    Markus

Good Sunday Morning, Gentlemen! It's 61F/16.1C with a clear blue sky and bright sunshine here in our neighborhood. I slept in late and feel very well-rested after a bad day yesterday and today I have to clean the inside of the cars' windshield, wipe down the dashboard, etc. because of the dust from driving with the windows down all summer. Now smoking the usual first bowl of the day, BBF, in a Sav "Venere 128" with the usual fresh mug of coffee on the tobacco table.

Mcbarens dark twist in a Smokewell/John Redman. A pipe kindly given to me by jorgen, think I've smoked it every day since receiving it.
