The wife's happy to see her cactus in full bloom today after the recent storms spoilt the first set of flowers.
Nice fresh feel to the day so enjoying more Virginia in the Wimbledon.

Hello, never heard of it but Pipephil says it's rather rare (in French): http://www.pipephil.eu/logos/fr/logo-s2.html#saillard , althoigh he might just mran the horn stem to be rare.
Here's- without more information - a reference to a book about Saillard clay pipes made in France. https://books.google.de/books/about/...AJ&redir_esc=y
Here, Saillard Aine is mentioned as a maker from clay pipes in Besancon/France (paragraph just above the first three pictures): https://www.pipe.fr/fr/blog/avant-la...es-gambier-n41
And finally, a thesis on clay pipes found in two forts in Pregon, with a mention of Saillard on page 115 of the PDF document, or p. 101 of the printed pages.
Best wishes

Hello,
And now back to the scheduled programming: I came home from work today to find the fence completed, just as I had expected and hoped it to turn out. Enough protection from neighbourly views, but still enough gaps to avoid the impression of the Berlin wall or the wall between catholic and protestant parts of Belfast that I was reminded of when I saw some fences while shopping for mine. It's wood plastic compound (WPC) but looks closely natural enough to fit in my little wood of yew trees.
I'm about to finish a bowl of Brown Clunee in an Askwith hand-finished bulldog.
Best wishes
Markus
