    PipeDan Elsinore

This PipeDan pipe blew right past my max bid. I obviously wasn't the only person who knew what they were looking at. The Polonius shape by Gert Holbek. Hammer dropped at $312.

Another fine and interesting pipe, Dave. Will you restore them?

Not surprised at the price....I love it.

I hope you're not becoming like me Dave...tight-fisted?

$312 seems so incredibly high priced. I would like to see that pipe fully restored and all the grime removed with a new clear coat. What year was it produced?

Well, not really for a Gert Holbek pipe. Why wouldn't I bid that high? The pictures didn't show the markings (but I highly suspect they are there) and the finish makes it very hard to see the grain figuring. Produced I would expect in the 1960's; again, the markings one would see with the pipe in hand would give more information.

In decent shape that pipe usually sells for $500 or more.
