On my birthday back in September my sister bought me a gift voucher for Beerhawk, I finally got around to spending it last week and decided to buy a selection of Christmas beers: Anchor Brewing Christmas 2017 porter, Ilkley Brewery Mary Christmas spiced amber ale, St Bernadus Christmas strong Belgian ale, Gordons Christmas Ale belgian beer and Leffe Noel Belgian beer.
First up last night was the St Bernadus Christmas, now this stuff weighs in at a massive 10% in a 33cl bottle this is strong stuff however it is velvety smooth and slips down a treat a malty/molasses taste. Not something I would drink on a regular basis but I would buy it again. Tonights offering is going to be Anchor Brewing Christmas 2017 porter this weighs in at a much more sensible 5.5%. I'll report back later.

Thanks for the heads up Jim, I'll have a look tomorrow, BTW, latest bottle I've bought from Amazon is Glenglassaugh PX Sherry Wood Finish, great reviews so worth a punt I reckon, a bit expensive though.

Thanks, Ally - a bit rich for me considering Aldi's quality/price/value.
